Gus Mueller: Vocals Sepp Chalupper: Lead Guitar Matthias Froehlich: Bass Tom Powers: Drums This recording of "More Gain" was recorded during a live performance at the historic Paunzhausen Bowl Discography: On the 27th of May, 2009,a horrific hail storm went through the Hallertauer area of Germany (just north of Munich), destroying 90% of the Hallertau hops crop. The Hallertau hops have a unique spicy, earthy flavor, and are common in many German beers, and also Samuel Adams lager in the U.S. The loss of these hops is devastating to beer drinkers around the world. This storm, however, was even more devastating to the farmers of the region, many of whom had little or no crop insurance, and lost their entire annual income. Coincidentally, just days after the storm, the retro-rock band The dessaBulls were in the Hallertauer region, and on the 30th of May, hastily put together a benefit concert. In the shadows of the Müllerbrau brewery of Pfaffenhofen, and high on Schrobenhausen spargel, these four audiologists gave the performance of a lifetime at the historic Paunzhausen Bowl. In honor of the noted lover of hops, Hermann Ludwig von Helmholtz, who also inspired the dessaBulls to write their first song “Resonate,” the lyrics for the song More Gain were composed especially for this concert. Pour yourself a beverage and sing along!
